STANDARDS & DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE

Know what the evidence covers.

The supplied SABS permit certificate page, 11894/18580, names DAESAN INOTEC INC and SANS 1594:2007 for manually operated chain blocks. It states an expiry of 16 July 2027, subject to ongoing permit conditions.

The integral permit schedules are not available here. Individual model coverage must be confirmed against those schedules; a manufacturer declaration or sample test report does not replace that confirmation.

Before selecting, using or maintaining a hoist
  • Read the applicable manufacturer instructions and match model, configuration and markings.
  • Confirm the supporting structure and the complete lifting arrangement with competent personnel.
  • Do not exceed the rated load, side-pull, lift people or use damaged equipment.
  • Arrange competent inspection, maintenance and any required testing; a product certificate does not replace the owner’s duties.
